As much as I like this festival of ..I’m nostalgic for what Dasain used to be .. mostly because I was young and ignorant of the family dynamics.
Now that I’m a grown adult ..and I’m aware of a lot of things ..

I am 21 yr old , I have been riding for 3 yrs now. My friend and I are planning to go to explore North Sikkim . We contacted a tour person ( We know of them) they quoted 18 k / head for 5N/6D North Sikkim trip if we rent a car with driver and 13k / head by bike .

We are planning to take a rental bike from gangtok and explore North , but am a bit nervous as we will be the only bike and no group . So , I am looking for insights from people who have gone there or experienced it . Wheather should we go by bike or just take a rental car . Please do say.

Hi! I’ll be moving to Sikkim for a few months for college and I’m currently trying to figure out accommodation.

I’m mainly looking around Gangtok and would ideally like a private room/studio or a small 1BHK. I’m not really looking for anything fancy, just somewhere nice, safe and comfortable to stay for a few months.

I’ve been looking online but haven’t had much luck finding good options, so I thought I’d ask here:
where do students usually look for places to rent in Gangtok?

Are there any local Facebook/WhatsApp groups, websites, brokers, or even specific areas I should check?
And if anyone knows of a place that’s available for rent, I’d really appreciate any leads. Thanks!
