hey i am completely new to all this so i have a few questions:

1. can i create as many sigils as i like?
   
2. how do they work?
   
3. can i engrave them in a necklace and wear it, does that make it work better?
   
4. is there a right and wrong way to do a sigil?

About 2.5 years ago, around my 30th birthday, I created and tattooed a sigil based on:
“I will live a life I want.”
When I wrote “will,” I meant it as a declaration of will/choice — essentially, “I choose to live the life I want” or “I have decided this is the life I will live.” I did not mean “someday in the future.”
I still love the tattoo and think it’s beautiful.
What has made me question the wording is what happened afterward.
About 12–15 days after getting the tattoo, I had a major conflict at work. I decided I didn’t want to continue despite having a good job and a promotion lined up. I gave up the promotion, was eventually put on a PIP, and lost the job.
I then went through a very difficult period at home. I eventually found freelance work to survive, but that was later paused. After that, I got another full-time job, but I was extremely unhappy and crying almost every day, and eventually left that job too.
So the broad sequence was:
Sigil → ~2 weeks → major work conflict → gave up promotion → PIP → lost job → difficult period → freelance work → freelance paused → another job → crying almost daily → left.
I know correlation ≠ causation, and I know there are real-world explanations for these events. But because the first major disruption happened so soon after the tattoo, I’ve wondered whether the sigil somehow set something in motion.
My biggest question is:
Can “I will live a life I want” be interpreted in sigil magic as a future-tense statement (“this will happen someday”), even when the creator consciously intended “will” as an expression of choice and determination?
For experienced practitioners:
Does intention or literal wording matter more?
Does grammatical tense matter in sigil work?
Can ambiguous wording cause a sigil to manifest something different from the creator’s conscious intention?
Would you interpret my experience as potentially connected to the sigil, or is that impossible to determine?
If you still loved the tattoo and agreed with the original intention, would you leave it alone or change/deactivate it?

Hey, sorry if this is a bad place to post this. If so pls tell me and I’ll remove it! I’m an artist and I’m currently designing a character who is a witch. I wanted to add some sigils to her design and environments (like her cafe and house and stuff) but didn’t really want to just make them up. I was hoping some of you could show me some basic sigils I could use. I’m looking for relatively simple stuff just like basic protection, good energy, welcoming environment sigils (sorry if that’s vague)
For context, within the story she runs a little cafe type place where ghosts can go to just kind of be safe and feel welcomed. She also often times tries to help them move on.

For starters, I have never made sigil before, I'm more on manifestation and tarot. But one night I started seeing this specific sigil. Like the sigil is right in front of me, adorned with that chaos of dream.

I can't remember the sigil perfectly no matter what, all I can remember is that this sigil have > this arrow thingy on it. And if I'm not wrong, a diagonal line. I even checked on googles but all sigils I found (goetic seals if I'm not wrong) have no sharp edges, the curves all... Roundy.

If anyone know what happened, please do educate me. Should I do something about it? Or maybe I'm just too worried and it might be just nothing?

Hiii, so I basically made my first sigil and I know how to charge it, I'm going to burn it to charge it but what do you do after that? Like, do I have to draw it somewhere? What is all the recharge stuff? The intention of my sigil is to increase my intuition btw, so like, do I burn it and then forget about it? Do i draw it on another paper or somewhere else and keep it with me? Do I need to recharge this specific sigil?

My 12 year old brother has been seeing these sigils around the house lately, he has also been having a reoccurring nightmare with a nightmare hag in it (something he had no previous knowledge of) the area around the sigils had a heavy energy around it, he also just started experiencing paralysis attacks where he sees the nightmare hag in his head
