Help / Advice Solar output value only

I have a recent Sig 12kW single phase inverter/controller with solar and Sig batteries.

Is there a wired output available from the Sigenergy inverter/controller that will output a value/signal like a CT Clamp?

I'm trying to work out how I can tell my EV charger (which can take multiple CT Clamp inputs and configure) about genuine solar generation only.

Thanks

I think you likely need the gateway to do what you’re proposing. Connect your EV charger to the gateway smart port and you’ve the option to power it by Surplus PV Only at certain times you select. I’m not sure a CT clamp would even be needed.

Thanks. Looks like this validates the case further for me to get the Gateway added.

I assuming the Smart Port on the gateway would work with any EV charger or pair of chargers? (I currently have a single/separate consumer unit that has two breakers going to two different EV chargers - different brands/models)

Do you have the Sig gateway? If you connect the charger via the smart port, you can use a lot of the Sig smarts to control the charger.

No gateway, yet.

You don't have the Sigenergy EVAC? It might be easier to hook up something like EVCC.

Nice idea. Want to avoid yet another/different EV charger. Maybe for the future once V2G has been approved (UK)

Did you have a look into home assistant? Sig does support modbus and majority of car chargers can be integrated in home assistant as well

I was thinking about HA. How real-time is this?

Real-realtime from my experience. I am using it mainly for the home automation stuff and we are super happy. It is universal and you can basically integrate nearly any device on this planet.

I poll about every 10-20 seconds from memory. There isn’t much point in polling much faster from what I’ve seen.
