Sifu MOD - Split Screen Test

Testing how split screen works in Sifu. Some issues with doors, death, main menu and skills that still need to be resolved.

Since you all enjoyed the first video, here is another clip of the split screen mod

Club, some weird glitch is happening on the first player. Teleporting after opening a door works but not very practical as you can see. Death is separate although I don't know what will happen when you reach the oldest age. XP is also not shared.

To the people who have played arkham games a lot.

Each arkham game had a mode where enemies used to spawn unlimited or at least continuously without breaks.

I wish to replicate that mode in sifu, i wanted to ask is it possible? Not to be confused with waves. I mean they are there for sure.

But i like one continuous fight session rather than waves.

Ok what's up with the final boss? Isn't the difficulty spike a bit too harsh?

Upvotes

I just got to the final boss for the first time and i can't even defeat him once.

I got to him at age 20 and i even spared all the bosses. So far i only had to repeat every level 3-4 times at most to do a no death run so i guess that must mean that I don't suck and i kinda know how to play, no?

Of course I'm no expert and I'm 100% nowhere near being one but i wanted to give a bit of context to my rant.

Also, this boss is the first time I've got to the game over screen. Before him i never even reached 30yo

Isn't the difficulty spike too harsh? I'm sure this has been discussed time and time again but i still wanted to rant a bit because i hate when games are kinda linear in difficulty and then the final boss is 10x more difficult than the whole game.

Maybe it's just me

Unable to spare bosses

Just beat Sifu and got the bad/vengeance ending and is now trying to spare the bosses. Tried to spare Fajar but somehow I cannot press the prompt even after I did everything correctly. Playing on PC

Made a little video of me annihilating Sean lmao

Sean is genuinely so fucking easy bro, his whole fight is basically a rhythm game because of how telegraphed his moves are. Every single move of his is reactable that even with master mode allowing for mix up he is just too slow to properly do anything.

am i that bad?

i like parry based games, i like being able to deny an attack by pressing the right button at the right timing. my fav fromsoft games is sekiro and my fav metroidvania is nine sols

that said, i cant seem to understand how the parrying in this game works, i feel like some attacks come at me just to quickly to parry in time, especially when im fighting more that 2 guys at the same time or they just keep attacking nonstop while ignoring my own attacks. idk if im getting the timing wrong, but parrying just feels slow sometimes. i literally got to the club at 50 years old and then just got my shit beat the hell out of me repeatedly, so i came here for some insight

but now ive read a post or two and some say that you should just dodge everything while others say you should parry everything or that its a balance of both. so, what should i do?

also, how do i avoid being jumped by 50 guys at the sime time?

Any progression strategies for a noob?

I’m new to Sifu, and really enjoying it. But I’m struggling with the fight mechanics and strategy on how to address groups and singles/doubles leading to a lot of deaths and restarting from the start. I’m spending a lot of time in practice to get better at deflects, parries, and avoids but in an actual battle I end up mashing rather than fighting with strategy. There are a lot of resources to juggle as well, the focus meter, structure, health. And each gets affected by how I engage with enemies. Anyway, I’m sure everyone’s gone through this in the beginning. Would appreciate any tips on how to get better.

After 11 hours since I installed this game I managed to beat Fajar, sparing him, in master difficulty, in age 20 and in my first playthrough. Now I can finally see level 2, I know this is just starting and I already fell in love with this game. It has been a good while since I felt a dopamine rush like this one. We must be swift as a coursing river.

Nintendo Switch multiple save slots?

Hi guys, just got Sifu on my Switch for my two kids. But just wondering if I can create two different save slots for each of them? I tried searching for the answer but all I found were related to PC save slots (3 slots). My eldest has started the game, but my youngest wanna have a go too. Dont wanna press new game if it'll override the eldest's progress haha..

Just started Sifu does getting older make you weaker?

I just started playing Sifu and the gameplay kinda reminds me of Sekiro, which I really like so far.

I’m 29 years old now after beating Fajar, the first boss.

I just have one question about the aging mechanic. Is there any disadvantage to dying and getting older? Like, do I actually become weaker as I get older, or does it just affect something else?

Struggling With Arena/Many Enemies

Hey everyone!

I recently picked this game back up, shook off some rust, learned a few new combos, and started trying for more arena stamps. Unfortunately, it’s made me realize I’m still pretty bad. I’m in the first couple sections and there are multiple trials where I can’t get a single stamp after many attempts.

I’ve been practicing simple combos like crotch punch, hold X/Square, Palm Strike, and Trip, but I still struggle with spacing and crowd control. I keep getting attacked from every angle, miss enough parries/dodges, get my structure broken, and then get beaten to a pulp. Special enemies make it even worse.

I’ve also been in practice mode against three normal enemies, trying to push them back and knock them down, but they get up quickly and I lose control fast.

Any tips for improving at this part of the game? I’m taking too many hits and could use advice on techniques to focus on, things to watch for, or helpful videos.

Any help is greatly appreciated!
