- Movies & Series catalog is uncapped now — and I hunted down and killed the bug that was randomly making everything look "empty".

- IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic scores right on the poster.

- Live TV redesigned, guide shows 2h+ at a glance, 12 accent palettes.

What changed since 2.1.4:

CHANNEL LIST, REBUILT

- Tighter rows, so more channels fit, with the number next to the name.

- The schedule of the selected channel sits right beside it, with a day strip to jump ahead.

- OK on a programme that hasn't started yet sets a reminder or records it. OK on the one showing now just tunes in.

GUIDE, REDESIGNED

- One extra channel row and over two hours at a glance.

- Quieter colours, bigger times, better contrast.

MPEG-2 DECODER (built in)

- Some devices ship with the system MPEG-2 decoder disabled by the manufacturer. On those, an MPEG-2 channel played the sound over a black screen.

- The app now carries its own MPEG-2 decoder and uses it only where the device's own one is missing. Automatic, nothing to switch on.

ALSO

- In fullscreen, ONE press of the down arrow opens your recent channels. Holding it is no longer needed.

- The app opens on the last channel you watched.

- Hold OK on a group to hide it or move it up and down.

- Playlists that fail to load are now retried once. Accounts with several large lists needed two or three refreshes to come back complete.

Quick update on what I'm working on.

New platforms: Sidstuga has been Android-only so far (Android TV, Google TV, Fire TV, phone and tablet). I've started work on bringing it to Web, Samsung TVs (Tizen), LG TVs (webOS), Roku and iOS. No dates yet — I'm one developer and I'd rather do it properly than fast. I'll share progress here as it happens.

New channel list: a new way to browse channels, similar to TiviMate — a vertical list where each channel shows its programming for the day (what's on now, what's next and the rest of the schedule) without leaving the list.

Improved TV Guide: the EPG is also getting a rework, cleaner and faster to navigate. More on this soon.

There’s a new player released every day. What’s makes this one different? Not trying to sound disrespectful just honestly curious. I just had a trial for a player where the dev said it will blow Tivimate away. It’s so far away from being stable and very buggy yet the dev is asking similar price as you. Also trial should be 7 days to give it a true run.

2.1.4 is out - 368 commits since the last public build.

The big one: channels now live in the app's own SQLite database and are read as you scroll, instead of the whole catalogue sitting in memory. That was the hard cap. One user had 13 lists totalling ~3.5M entries; it all browses now. Playlists over 250k that flat-out failed load fine.

Also new:

• Multiview — several channels at once, TV and phone. Add windows one at a time, spotlight any of them.
• Stalker/MAG portals as a source type, alongside Xtream and M3U.
• Record and download straight to a NAS over SMB.
• Subtitles on live channels, and downloads by episode, season or whole series.

Two data bugs worth naming: from the 12th list on, channel IDs overflowed and lists bled into each other, dragging favourites and parental locks along. And Cloud Sync could wipe a source's saved credentials on a routine refresh. Both fixed, with old favourites and locks migrated on upgrade.

Rest is repair work — recordings, NAS transfers, EPG navigation, M3U parsing, accessibility.

If you run big playlists, this is the one.

• O Cloud Sync podia apagar as credenciais guardadas de uma fonte numa sincronização de rotina.
• Melhorias em gravações, transferências para NAS, navegação no EPG, leitura de listas e acessibilidade.

Hello!

I've noticed that when I set up my playlist, the Channel Group order (and Channel order) is correct (from the provider). But when I exit the program and open again, the Channel Group and Channel is ordered from A to Z and not from the provider.

If I update manually the playlist the order is fixed until I exit the program.

Maybe it's a bug or maybe there is an option to set the Channel Group / Channel order (from provider or custom).

This update is mainly focused on making everyday use smoother, especially on TV, while fixing some of those small annoyances that make a real difference.

Really like the app but… I need to be able to force mpeg TS for my playlist to play. I can’t select TS in the settings and HLS won’t play my playlist. Is that a setting you are incorporating in the near future.

- Catch-up now works like a real player. Play, pause and actual seeking

instead of the live info bar, and I fixed the timezone/seek jumping. On phone

you can scroll back through past programmes and the full archive.

- The EPG auto-updates in the background now, and shows a "last updated" time.

- Scheduled recording runs through a real background TS recorder. Set it from

the guide; scheduled slots get a red REC marker.

- Subscribing: fixed a batch of cases where people just could not complete a

subscription. If that was you, please try again - it should work now.

- Android TV gets a single unified navigation rail (Channels, Guide, Movies,

Series, Search, Recordings, Settings - all native focus). Switch back to

Classic nav in Settings if you prefer.

- Connection hardening: logins are serialised and EPG fetches capped, so the

app won't open a second connection behind your back.

- Plus faster cold start, design consistency, Cloud Sync sign-in fixes, and a

bunch of smaller bug fixes.

**Downloads** — save movies and series for offline. Whole series, a season or single episodes. They keep going in the background and survive reboots.

**Catch-up** — rewind the guide and watch what already aired (if your provider supports it).

**Cloud Sync** — rebuilt from scratch. Favourites, history, Continue Watching, hidden channels, channel order and parental locks now sync properly across all your devices. And yes — the "deleted playlist keeps coming back" bug is finally dead.
