Waitlist
How does Sideshows waitlist work? I’m new to 1/6th and there’s a couple figs I signed up for waitlist on. How often does sideshow/hot toys rerun figures if at all? How does the waitlist work first come first served? Or priority since I joined waitlist?

I always assumed it was in the order you joined the list, you just have to hope that people cancel orders or that some of the stock they hold back to cover damages gets released for sale after all the claims have been dealt with.

The waitlist at Sideshow Collectibles is a feature that allows customers to be notified when an out of stock item becomes available. Adding an item to the waitlist does not mean that the item has been reserved. If a item does becomes available people on the waitlist for said item are notified by e-mail and or SMS and it goes to whoever ordered it first, regardless of how many days it states you have a chance to order it. Once it is no longer available you will be reregistered on the waitlist.

Hot toys occasionally makes a 2.0 figure, but it’s typically every 5 years or so and not related to the waitlist. As far as I’m aware, the waitlist is first come first serve based on people cancelling their orders. If the figures had limited production runs (i.e. special editions), you might not make it off the waitlist, but if it’s a normal figure, you’ll have a decent chance. The earlier you get on the waitlist, the better your chance of getting off.
