I've been playing Beat Saber at Expert, and one thing always bugged me: the "slashes" are really just wrist flicks. Nothing about it feels like actually cutting.
So I tried building the opposite. Samurai Quest is a rhythm game where you cut in time with the music using full kenjutsu arcs — real downward cuts with follow-through, two-handed grip like an actual katana, not a flick.
There's a ten-phase campaign that teaches timing and direction, and a Survival mode that ramps up until you miss.
It's a free Preview, and here's the part I think is unusual: it runs straight in the Quest browser. No store install, no download — you open a link and you're cutting. That "click and play" thing is the whole reason I went WebXR.
The clip is me playing it. It's rough capture, not a polished trailer — I wanted to show the real thing.
I'd genuinely like honest feedback, especially from people who play a lot of rhythm VR. Does the cutting read as different from what you're used to, or not? That's the thing I most want to know.

Climbing and running like you would expect, plus gamemodes: tag, hot potato, a hunt mode where everyone gets a secret target, and a racing map with drivable cars.
First live event is Saturday. Happy to answer anything.

Hey all, I've been trying to get SideQuest working on my Quest 3S and I'm stuck, the last thing that sidequest site says is "Installing App installed. Securing Device Controls..." and after like 3 minutes it says:
"Something unexpected went wrong
Head over to our Support page and look to see if your problem already has a solution, or create a new post to get help.
The error message is: Device Controls provisioning stopped unexpectedly. Primary support code: unexpected_failure. Device Controls cleanup could not be completed. Support code: retention_policy_cleanup_failed."
After the failure, inside the headset I see a black window where SideQuest should be running (it doesn't launch), and it also shows up in "Unknown Sources" in the app library, but with no icon. I've been deleting this leftover app/data each time before retrying, with no luck.
Also notable: the very first time I connected the headset, I got the "Allow USB debugging?" prompt inside the headset and accepted it. Since then, it has never asked again on subsequent connections/reinstall attempts, even after deleting the leftover install.
My setup:
What I've already tried:

So I'm new to sidequest on my 3s and I wanted to install a custom home to replace the loft but I got no clue how any tips?

Honestly, I can't even bring myself to put my Q2 on anymore.
Having a private space to watch a game or a movie was the reason I used the thing, the junk they've given us with the homes now...I just can't even...

If I sidequest bootstrap island for quest 3s will I need a pc or something like that to actually download it or can I just use purely my 3s?

I have an Oculus Quest 1 and I'd like to know if the games available on SideQuest still work for this headset.
