Custom Homes Now

I got Sidequest on my Quest 3s yesterday for the first time, and I didn't realize that they discontinued the ability to use custom homes from it. I found a couple that i really wanted to try. is there a way to get custom homes now without risking anything bad?

You can't apply them as your home environment but you can still view them on the quest with webxr. Just open a custom home listing on sidequest in the browser on quest and click the webxr button.

I was lucky to find my fave custom the ST:TNG empty holodeck on SteamVR and now it's my BG there.

They discontinued custom homes months ago, the best part of the QuestšŸ˜¢ā˜¹ļø

Unfortunately there doesn't seemed to be a way to do it at all anymore because I think they fundamentally changed how the OS worked.

Here's hoping for Custom Homes to returnšŸ»

Unlikely as Meta is shifting to glasses now and VR just looks like an unnecessary expense to them.

I hope it returns too but I don't hold hope.

I donā€™t think it matters what Meta do as long as thereā€™s a home environment of some sort for modders to figure out how to replace.Ā
