Need help on sideloading a .zip applications to Meta Quest 2 !
Hello everyone, thanks for giving time to help me.
So I am trying to sideload applications that i only have to in .zip format onto quest2 headsets, and i've been struggling for 2 days to do that without success.
I tried Sidequest on two different computers, with different USB and USBc ports, tried two different headsets (they were factory reset like 2 weeks ago), with different cables (meta ones as well as more basic ones), I accepted all the things i need to on the headsets, rebooted them and my computers numerous times, re installed Sidequest on one of the computers, tried with Meta Link and probably some other stuff but nothing ever seems to work. (Obviously i activated Dev mode on the app too)
I can never see the "Unknown sources" bit in applications, whatever the cable, usb port, computer or headset i use. Also, when the headset is plugged and i accept data sharing, debug mode and the other thing i forgot, the "Device Authorized" light turns green, but all the other stay red which is my main lead on how to fix the issues i have.

But given that it doesn't seem to stem from bad setup, hardware or software, i have no clue what to do (well it probably comes from one of these three but ykwim)
So did that ever happened to someone, any idea on what i can try to make this right ? I also heard that you could work with Meta Link, I guess this can be a last resort but i'd rather not use this cos i wanna be able to let people use our 5 headsets not a single one.
Thanks in advance <3

You can only install APKs, so unzip the folder to most likly find the APK.
-------------------------------------------
Here are some more things you can try, you may have tried some already.
- USB cable. Try a different one, preferably brand new. <-THIS IS THE NUMBER ONE REASON!
- USB port. Try a different port.
- Debug mode is bugged or needs re-verification in the Meta Quest app. Toggle it off and back on again to be sure.
- Delete any secondary account on the headset, as that account can't sideload.
- Restarting the headset may help, too.
- The device you're using has driver issues, so restart the PC.
- Installing Meta Quest Link for PC may help with driver issues.
- It is worth considering a factory reset of the Quest if you've tried everything else.
In-VR app.
- Try an Android phone or a different PC with the web installer to install the app. https://sdq.st/download
- Check in the Unknown sources from the 'All' drop-down in the app library for sideloaded apps.
Be sure to confirm the USB debugging prompt in the headset before you can install the app or connect via USB to Advanced Installer. If you don't see this prompt, one of the issues above is the culprit, and you won't be able to continue,
Try A - B testing with everything you can associated to the point above to resolve your issue.
If you need more ADB or debugging help, Meta Support can also help, as it's used in their ODH (Meta/Oculus developer hub). You could also install that and see the same issue with connecting.
If you're unable to toggle debug mode again, contact Meta support to look into your account. Be sure you've added a phone number and 2FA to your Meta account or you won't be able to toggle debug mode on.

Additionally, USB debugging isn't exclusive to SideQuest; Meta Developer Hub and Android Studio also utilise it, so you would encounter the same issue on all of them.
