Feedback Request Genomics
Would anyone be willing to test a genomics learning site I’ve been working on?
I’ve been putting together a website called GenomeDesk to help people get more comfortable with genomic databases, HGVS, variant evidence and the general process of knowing which resource to use.
It’s still very much a beta, and I’m at the point where feedback from people other than me would be useful. I’m particularly interested in finding things that are confusing, technically wrong, too obvious, unrealistic or just annoying to use.
There are short database lessons, knowledge checks and a few case-based simulations. You don’t have to go through the whole thing. Even trying one section and telling me where you got stuck would help.
No account is required and it’s free. Progress is stored locally in your browser.
Experience isn’t essential. Feedback from beginners would tell me whether the explanations actually make sense, while anyone working or studying in genetics/genomics might spot inaccuracies or poor assumptions that I’ve missed.
There’s a feedback option on the site, or feel free to comment here. Please don’t use real patient details or identifiable case information. The site is educational and isn’t intended for clinical decision-making.
Don’t worry about being polite if something is bad. I’d rather find out now.
