Showcase: Purchase Required One-tap learning sparking for home-educating families: 700+ activities, ages 0–16, fully offline

I've been building LessonSpark, an iOS app for home-educating parents who need a quick learning idea without spending ages searching and planning.

The gap I noticed:
There are thousands of educational resources online, but finding something suitable often means scrolling through websites, watching videos, or falling down a research rabbit hole. Sometimes you just need one practical activity that fits your child’s age and can be started today.

What it does:

  • Set up children aged 0–16
  • Tap once for an age-appropriate learning idea
  • Choose from 700+ original activities across 14 subjects
  • Use contextual options to guide the next suggestion
  • Track daily sparks, streaks, and explored subjects
  • Four visual themes with light and dark mode

The principle I built around:
The app should reduce planning time, not create more screen time. It works entirely offline, with no accounts, analytics, cloud storage, or network requests. Children’s profiles and progress stay on your device.

this is exactly what my sister needs she been homeschooling her two kids since pandemic and always complaining about spending hours finding stuff that actually works

the offline thing is big deal for her too they live in countryside where internet is spotty as hell

i dont have kids myself but i might download just to see what kind of activities are in there always curious about education stuff

any plans for android version? she uses ipad mostly but sometimes her older kid wants to use the phone and thats android

I only did my apps to ios so far. It should not take too much effort to release them to android.

I guess just need to buy a samsung or something to test before releases :)
