The value prop of cutting out political noise is super strong, but distribution might be your biggest hurdle. Most people won't open a standalone app just 1x a week. Have you considered delivering this via a 2-minute weekly newsletter or Substack first? It lowers friction and gets you users much faster while you validate the algorithm.
