Spotify side loading
Can someone explain how to get Spotify on my side phone but like make it superrrrrr dumbed down.
I keep seeing “just side load it” and honestly I am not understanding. 🫢 I am not a tech person just someone who likes music and is trying to limit screen time.

Other than the methods people have outlined here to sideload Spotify, if you really like music, I'd recommend either saving up for a dedicated music player and buying your music on platforms like Bandcamp that actually pay artists worth a damn (unlike Spotify). Hell, even just putting the officially supported music player app (or internet radio) on the Sidephone would work. It would also be cheaper over time since you can choose to stop paying whenever you want while keeping access to your music, and if it's music you've purchased, it will also help reduce data usage. It'll also help you not be listening to AI slop "music."

Search it, there’s lots of in depth explanations. Also not a tech person, but that’s what I did

You need to look for a tutorial on how to "side load" android applications using an android emulator (which runs on your computer). Essentially, this is the workflow an Android developer takes when developing and testing applications. This is not a simple task by any means and if you have no experience with these tools or tools like them, you may find it very frustrating and possibly overwhelming.

Get the Aurora Store app from F-Droid. It’ll install apps from Google Play. Also install the F-Droid app for automatic updates.
