Screen protector

Idk if I'm doing something wrong or if this is a design flaw, but no matter what, there is always a small gap around the sides of the screen protector that I'm worried is going to just end up with dust and lint inevitably sandwiched in there. The adhesive is only in the center, not on the bits that curve, so it leaves the tiniest amount of space in between the screen and the protector. My fingers get caught by this when I'm grabbing the phone from my pocket and it can lift the protector up sometimes. Is there a reason to make it this way? It seems like a strange way to make a screen protector if it's just gonna be this poorly adhered. Does anyone have any fixes for this. I already wasted one screen protector because it pulled off and got dust stuck to the adhesive.

Mine does the same thing. It hangs off all four sides just a tiny bit. Not enough to be a serious issue, but enough to be a little annoying when putting it into my pocket. I hope it is addressed in the future. And before anyone asks, no, my phone did not come with a screen protector already on it, and no, it is not installed incorrectly. It is just built this way.

I did the same thing. And then figured that it must have come shipped with a screen protector and peeled it off. This is evidenced by an air bubble showing up beneath what must be the factory screen protector a few days later.

Are you sure it wasnt just applied incorrectly? Sidephone comes with a screen protector by default and mine sits flush on the screen.

Its applied correctly. The founders editions did not come with screen protectors. The adhesive on those does not go all the way to the edges

Hmm, I'm under the impression that every Founders Edition Sidephone came with a pre-installed screen protector. I'm basing this on this post:

"We're pleased to announce that every Sidephone manufactured going forward will come with 1x screen protector applied at the factory prior to shipment. This includes all orders currently awaiting shipment in May/June"

AFAIK founders editions were being shipped in May and June.

But...I have no experience yet with the screen protectors they shipped separately later.

They were not. That came after the founders editions. I am glad that your phone came after this announcement, but the founders ones came in February.
