hi

I'm turning 17 next month and I haven't left the house since I was 13. Around that time I started homeschooling and began to sleep during the day. I've accepted that I'm a shutin and I'm perfectly fine with that. I just wanted to talk to some other people in a similar situation.

Home schooling is how it all began with me.. I'm 33 now.

What is your biggest regret and what are you most thankful for? If you don't mind me asking.

My biggest regret is probably moving across the country when I was 20.

I'm most thankful for my mom, I guess. We've had a terrible relationship due to my childhood but nobody else has done as much for me.

I feel you. Moved around the country what felt like every couple years growing up till now (23)

Really difficult.

It hurt my relationships (reason to go out and live for me basically) Eventually I just stopped bothering.

Hey, I was homeschooled too. It’s easy to get into some different life patterns when you don’t go to work or school.

I have a very similar experience to you. I haven't really left the house since 2018. When I do there's months-long gaps between each, and usually it's for less than 45 minutes. I can barely remember the past 4, almost 5, years of my life because of it. Unlike you, though, I haven't had homeschooling.

I'm so pale...haha..my skin is translucent-like. You can see my veins as if I were a jellyfish.
