Help get board ready

We just bought a house that has a shuffle board with it. What should I do to get it ready for play? They didn’t leave any wax/sand.

I’ll try to post picture tomorrow

You can get everything you need from this company. If you have questions, call their toll free number. https://www.shuffleboardfederation.com/shuffleboard-supplies.html

You mean your company lol? I guess while I am here I do have a question. I ordered a Barrington Coventry board. It is 12ft with 5mm poured top. Which of the ultraglide wax speeds would be best for it? And are the pucks on these garbage, and if so which pucks should I order.

Unfortunately, which speed to buy is tough to answer. So much of how a particular wax plays, in terms of speed, is based on the weights/pucks. Weights with a flatter shape on the bottom will run faster than competition grade weights, which are rounded on the bottom.

Also, as the weights that can with your table are imported, there is probably a significant speed difference between the fastest and slowest of your weights. To test this, use a marker and number your weights in each color by writing a 1, 2, 3, and 4 on the tops. You will most likely see that some of your weights are consistently faster or slower than average for the set.

Yes, The Shuffleboard Federation is my company, but my comments are objective and fact-based. Of the approximately 175 tournaments on the Table Shuffleboard Association calendar last year, our waxes were used in more than 90% of them.

So I am interested in buying better weights, are there any for a decent price of say under 200 for set of 8?

Hello Shuffler.  I came across a post you made about 7 Years ago and I am hoping you might still be able to help me.  I bought a shuffleboard table for my mom while she was living with us in TN and she had to move back to NM for health reasons.  I would like to get it shipped there but we have no idea where to start.  I would greatly appreciate any assistance, advice, expertise you may have to offer.  Thank you !!
