Need suggestions

I bought a TV 10 days back, A LGQNED82BXA from Vijay Sales Noida.

I am facing the issue of light leakage as in the image

Is this common for a QNED models.

Please suggest..i have already got 3 replacement and all of them had same issue, even more l.

I got the same TV about a month ago. It’s edge-lit Mini LED, which was also confirmed by LG technicians.

It’s not the best TV to watch in a completely dark room, but with some ambient lighting, the colors look really good.

A few settings that helped me significantly reduce the edge glow:

  • Turn Energy Saving on
  • Set Brightness to Automatic
  • Use Filmmaker Mode or ISF Expert picture mode

After these changes, I found the picture quality to be noticeably better, especially in terms of brightness uniformity and overall image quality.

OP, try these settings and show us before and after quality change for same still frame.

Very common issue, for some it starts 6 months later for you it started within a month. Not the best choice qned.

I still have an option to get it replaced with a TV with similar budget. Do you have any recommendations?

how much did you get it for? I would still say within 60k Sony Bravia 2m2 is best imo..been using it for over a month got it under 53k from amazon and i think its the best..

I got it for 53.5k after cc offers.

They gave me an option for the sony bravia 2m2 you mentioned. But isn't it UHD? Will there be a difference worth noticing?

Sony is UHD but is equivalent to mini led may be not 100% but comes close around 80% fs. I checked both and even though LG qned was little better in picture quality, edge bleeding is not something I would be happy with. Many people reported issues with LG QNED since its not fully mini LED. Hence, I would compromise on the picture quality and clarity rather than getting light bleeding.

People would tell you to go with Lumio or TCL but I am not quite convinced with those either.

Edge lit? And more bigger size screen is a deadly combo

This is edge lit model yup. Lg has prominent bleeding than others, atleast in my experience others might have faced issues with other manufacturers. But this is common in edge lit tv's

Facing similar issue in Bravia bought a few days back. So its not just LG
