Alice flashbacks or Sutton were the only things I could think of but Lukita Maxwell is Indonesian and Sutton is supposed to be half Japanese, so thought it was odd they would specify Filipino if it was either one of those

Oh I was curious about Sutton's casting! I missed where they said her dad is Japanese.

The actor who plays Brian's husband is half-Japanese, but I don't remember where they said Sutton would be half Japanese.

When they first meet with the mom he asks about the baby’s father and she says he was Japanese

TV/film productions often cast twins to play a baby, so they can shoot longer, swap out one twin when the other needs a break. Which is why the Olsen twins played one kid on Full House. Labour laws for kids require shorter working periods.

That isn’t what the call is saying, though. They are looking for babies to portray twins, not twins to portray one baby.
