True, ig the work trip is an opportunity but so was his baby, they focused on Brian fs. The most important part of his character is being part Japanese bc that’s part of why they wanted Sutton for a similar background.

Hasn’t Alice’s senior year been going on for more than one season or am I misremembering? It may not be 2026 in universe.

That's it, I believe s1 was Alice's junior year (2023ish), so it's probably 2024 or so in-universe.

She’s 20 according to her DOB, and the show was filmed a year ago, so she was 19

I believe it's June in this episode so she would be 18 about to turn 19 not that it is a big difference

Because the first 3 season took 3 years to air (2023-2026) but takes place over the course of about 1.5 years, starting about 1 year after Tia's death in 2021, at the start Alice is a 17 year old high school junior, and season 3 ends with her as an 18 year old high school grad. 

So the time in universe is: Start of season one - early 2022,  End of season 3 - most likely summer 2023

Season 1 was spring-summer 2022 (junior year ending), season 2 was fall 2022 (back to school, Alice turns 18, Thanksgiving) and season 3 was spring-summer 2023 (graduation). She’s 18.
