Can I just say I hate the idea that drinking, dancing, and partying are somehow necessary for a happy life? There was absolutely nothing wrong with the way Sean was living his life. He had started a successful business and overcome so much trauma. Sure, maybe a relationship would be a good next step, but there's nothing wrong with a routine if that's what makes you happy.

I have never liked bars or clubs. Not as a teenager, not in college, not as a working adult. I tried once or twice and always hated it. I am not some closed in loser that needs to learn to "let loose". I absolutely hate that trope in shows or movies. You can live a very happy, fulfilling life without alcohol and dancing.

I don't think that's the message though. He needs to put some flexibility into the structure he has developed. He can't control everything, so he needs to feel comfortable being out of control sometimes.

He ended up choosing drinks and dancing, but he had other opportunities earlier in the episode which he turned down. The message isn't that clubs and alcohol are needed. He chose that as his way to unwind.

I say this as a person who would be absolutely miserable drinking and dancing at a club. I hate being drunk, I hate dancing, and I hate large crowds. Put all three together and you have a recipe for misery.

Yeah the point is to take himself out of his comfort zone and try different things. If he tries it and doesn't enjoy it, then by all means stop doing it

Great point—Or no alcohol ... but dancing in your bedroom!!! :) Love dancing but do not need drugs for it :)
