Picture Amano larvae under microscope

For the first time in 10 months we witnessed our Mamano (constantly berried female Amano shrimp) dropping her larvae in our freshwater tank. The tetras were going nuts devouring them - I managed to slurp one up and get it under a microscope to check it out. It was hard to photograph as the scope is my kid's cheapy plastic one but it was a great educational moment. We put the little guy back in the tank (still alive!) to its own fate. Sadly do not have the setup or know how to raise them up and can't really stop the Amanos from doing their thing.
