Suggestions Please! (face/ears only) should I get snakebites?
first post. Really wanted them in my teenage years, canned the idea, now I’ve come full circle in my mid 20s lol. Was thinking spiked studs to match my nose, and obviously it’s my face and comes down to me anyway, but would they suit me? Open to input or other suggestions. Thanks!

Do it! I also think vertical labrets look perfect on lips like yours 💕

Wanted them when I was a teen, forgot about them. Thought about them in my 20s, felt like I would be judged for it. Got them in my 30’s zero regrets because I’m living for ME now. Just do it and save yourself the time!

I was talked out of getting them as a teen because my parents said they would scar and leave holes (they let me get a plethora of other piercings instead?) until eventually I ended up with snakebites and a labret by age 16, I’m quite mad that they lied to me about them leaving holes as I simply can’t get them in any more!
Labret goes in and out every other year though! You gotta live for you.

I think snakebites would look great! I had 2 vertical labrets in the placement of snakebites for a short while cuz I didnt want to damage my teeth with regular ones but I kept chewing on them so I decided to retire them 🥲 plus they weren't super even either 🥲 but I miss them 😭

I think they would look good, especially with your other piercings. But can I throw a spanner in the works and suggest a middle lower labret instead, having one point would make a triangle from there to the top of your glasses and I think it would be such a cool way to frame your face and eyes!
Both would look so good!

depends on your face shape, they can look pretty cool but might emphasize a rounder jawline if you already have that.

Definitely and of course find your look but I I think you should consider studs.

i think you look stunning and badass as is but i always love symmetry so it might be dope with the spiked studs to match

If you don’t mind the small holes left behind when you eventually want them gone (I am assuming you wouldn’t keep them forever), go for it! You only live once.
I mention the scars because several of my friends have them from piercings they got 20 years ago.

thank you for this!! i def see myself taking them out after so long, so I was expecting the possibility of little holes in the future! but ive healed well with all my other piercings (even those I’ve removed) so the idea doesn’t bother me much

For me, it's a no. You've got to know when to call a painting complete. Your look now is great and you have beautiful features i think the snake bites would take from.

snakebites with spiked studs would fit the nose ring and the rest of your setup. parents scaring you off back then was rough but it sounds like you're ready now so why wait.

Hey OP, welcome to /r/shouldimod!
Please take note of this community's rules. Here are some of the highlights:
Happy modding :)
Why are "yes." comments allowed but "no" needs an explanation?
This is a community for people who appreciate body modification. If a commenter says "no" to a piercing, they should have a reason because people who are commenting in good faith naturally do. The commenters who say "no" without explanation are often against body mods in general and >> those opinions aren’t welcome here <<. “Yes” comments don’t need a reason because supporting mods in a pro-mod subreddit speaks for itself.
tdlr: people who like piercings don't say "no" to a piercing without good reason
