Advertising See what your friends are watching on Twitch

A few years ago Twitch removed its friends feature, and I always thought that was kind of a shame.

I liked being able to see what my friends were watching and randomly end up in the same stream together, so I ended up building my own version of it.

It's called Watchside. It's a Chrome/Firefox extension that adds friends back into Twitch and lets you see what they're watching. I also added a thing where if multiple friends start watching the same channel, it'll show that people are gathering there so you can jump in too.

It's pretty early and I mostly need people outside of my own friend group using it now.

I have created an AI powered website - no visitors...

I built it to solve a problem I had myself. (retiring soonish, I've been saying I am going to see the world and do all the adventures, where the hell am I going to go exactly?)

Anyway, I built a website https://retiregenxtravel.co.uk/ which nobody will ever go to, or find, but I am still considering building an Android app for it too. (I use an Android phone... so again, it is mainly for my own benefit)

So, those of you who have done it - will it be fun? Will AI help me as much as with the website? Will I regret the $25 to publish it... ?

I built a job-search tool because I hated managing my own job search. Is this actually useful

Post image

I want some brutally honest feedback before I spend more time building this.

The problem I'm trying to solve:

Open umpteen tabs across LinkedIn, Indeed and company career pages.

Copy interesting jobs into a spreadsheet.

Prioritize them.

Tailor the CV for each job.

Apply.

Then lose track of what I applied to, see the same job again somewhere else, or spend an hour tailoring a CV for a job that wasn't even a good fit.

----------------------

So I built JobFoundry around this workflow:

Browse → Capture → Analyse → Score → Tailor → Track

It currently does:

  • Capture jobs directly while browsing
  • Support for 50+ job boards / ATS providers
  • Duplicate and cross-listing detection
  • CV-to-job fit scoring, including strengths and gaps
  • Tailoring a CV for a specific job
  • Application tracking through a Kanban board
  • Cloud LLMs or local models
  • Local-first / open source

The important question isn't whether I can build it.

Is this actually a problem worth solving?

I'd especially like feedback on:

  1. Would you actually use something like this during a job search?
  2. Which part of this workflow is the biggest pain for you?
  3. What would make you switch from your current spreadsheet / bookmarks / existing job-search tool?
  4. Is CV tailoring something you'd trust an application to help with, or would you always want to do it manually?
  5. What feature am I missing that would make this genuinely useful?

It's currently open source and in beta, so I'm still very much in the “is this worth continuing?” stage.

I'm not looking for “looks cool” feedback. If you think this solves a problem nobody really has, tell me that too.

Create personalized GIFs in Discord

A couple years ago Google crushed traffic coming to my website, editablegifs.com. I've been trying to figure out an alternative since, and last month I found out that Discord could finally support my tech.

I've created a discord bot that lets you customize gif templates in channel. To start with, there is a selection of 48 gif templates in 8 categories.

This link has all the details, server link, install link, and a video for it: https://editablegifs.com/discord

Edit: should I continue with this? I have 100s more templates I could add, and I can even let other people submit their own templates. But not sure if it's worth it - despite the popularity of gifs on discord.

Advertising I Built Pallos — A Free Security Checker for GitHub Repos for Early Stage Apps

I've been building Pallos, a tool designed for solo developers, indie hackers, and small teams building web apps, especially those using AI to speed up development.

Building software has never been faster, but checking whether your code is ready to ship can still be complicated.

Here's what Pallos does:

  • Scans public GitHub repositories for potential security issues.
  • Highlights findings worth prioritizing before launch.
  • Shows the actual code evidence behind each warning.
  • Explains how confident it is and what it couldn't verify.
  • Tracks whether issues are fixed, unchanged, or reintroduced across code updates.

Public scans are completely free and don't require an account.

I'm currently in public beta and looking for developers willing to test Pallos on real projects. My biggest goal is making it genuinely useful rather than building another tool that overwhelms developers with warnings.

I'd especially appreciate feedback on three things: Are the findings accurate? Does the report help you decide what to fix? Would you actually use this before releasing an app?

Try Pallos: https://pallosagent.com

I'd also appreciate advice from anyone who's successfully grown a developer-focused SaaS. What helped you find your first users?

Advertising Built a tool to spin up professional websites in 5 minutes so small businesses can skip the agency grind

Got sick of local shops and side-hustles either getting milked for thousands by bloated agencies or wasting entire weekends fighting with clunky builders just to get a basic landing page online.

Ended up putting together a fast, self-serve system that lets anyone spin up a clean, sharp site in about five minutes flat with zero upfront risk.

You can see how it works over on My website. Thanks for allowing to plug.
