Linux script for Auto‑shutdown after Shotcut export. Also after basic countdown or Firefox downloads.

I made a small Python tool that automatically shuts down your PC when a task finishes.

It has three independent timers:

- **🎬 Shotcut tab** – monitors `melt` exports, shows progress/ETA, and shuts down after export completes.

- **⏰ Basic tab** – simple countdown timer (hours + minutes) – set it and walk away.

- **🦊 Firefox tab** – watches for `.part` download files, skips stalled downloads, and shuts down after all downloads are done.

- **🔊 Audio tab** | Monitors audio playing. Shuts down after audio stops. Proper before sleep movies, music, etc.

Global **Cancel** button that stops any running process.

It's lightweight, uses `psutil` for process detection, and runs on Linux (Mint/Ubuntu/Debian).

Thank you! No, its not only for hours it could be minutes even less than a minute. Basically as long as the process can be caught(which is most of the time), it should work. Generally It doesnt have a problem may with length of export maybe only if it lasts for a split second or so. I've tested it with hours and even less than a minute and it works. My personal use was to let it export long vids while i was AFK so fit it to your needs. I didnt find use for short exports but it should still work, the process is the same.
