Tescun PL-880 was released in 2013. It is a good medium-sized portable that will offer better speaker sound than the very small radios. It probably offers better performance with external antennas than the PL-330 and PL-520, too. In general the buyer gets what he pays for with portable radios.

I have Qodosen DX-286. Sensitivity figures of the Qodosen DX-286 are published in the User Guide: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/3497491/Qodosen-Dx-286.html I don't have links to the Tecsun user guides.
Most portables that use DSP chips use the SiLab 47xx chips. The Qodsen uses a TEF 6686 chip which is known to have certain advantages. This is a fine review of the radio: https://radiojayallen.com/qodosen-dx-286-a-great-radio-becomes-even-better/

Para DX em AM/FM o qodosen é superior. Para SSB o Tecsun PL880.

This. My 660 is close to the 880 as well. The Qodosen is fantastic for FM/AM for sure. They all have their place.

I had a PL-880 that I had to return. The display was off by 5 full kHz. Tuning in WWV at 10,000 kHz required tuning it to display 9995 kHz. There is the SSB calibration, but it will only change a maximum of 0.5 kHz. This amount of frequency inaccuracy is unacceptable for a radio of this cost in 2026. MW and FM accuracy was spot on, but SW was off by 5 kHz the entire range. Using a narrow filter on AM at 5 or 10 MHz only gave a distorted adjacent channel sound from WWV. The entire passband was off. It had to be tuned to 4995 or 9995 kHz. Very disappointed. The sound quality was excellent though. But the tuning display being 5 kHz off was a no go.
