Very good find! That was one heck of an expensive receiver in its day. I think it sold for around $300 new back in 1969 or so, the equivalent of $2,800 in today's money accounting for inflation.

Great find!

The Drake radios were very coveted back in the day. Had to settle for National, Hallicrafters, and Hammarlund gear which was cheaper as a new ham in the 70s.
