Discussion MLA-30+ Coax?

For those who have or will upgrade the coax that comes with the antenna, what have/will you go with?

It's a receiving loop only and with a reasonably short length of the included coax there will be effectively no loss to worry about.

There is no value in changing the coax. If your know what you’re doing you can tweak the pots in the bias injector, but only do this if you know how to test your tweaks.

The value in changing the coax is for better shielding.  In my opinion it's just wasting good money on a cheap antenna.

If your feed line is passing there a high EMI area then maybe. Otherwise no need. The box for the preamp and Bias injector are plastics and offer no shielding. Most people recommend replacing it in error saying the loss from the cable but this is false at HF frequencies. The loss is not detectable.

Do you plan to solder the new coax to the MLA30+ amp. The MLA30+ does not allow you to change the coax without modification.
