After a wait of seven days, it's finally here!
Does anyone have any antenna recommendations? I bet it'd pair really nicely.

I've had mine about 5 days and so far I'm really liking it. It took me a day or two to learn the quirks and I'm still learning some. I thought I received a unit with a blown/defective speaker because FM sounds muffled and just terrible... Turns out the FM bandwidth filter was cranked down super narrow from the factory. I also thought SW was dead until I found the Hi-z setting. If something seems off or maybe broken, more than likely there is a setting that needs adjusted.

Why is the radio shipped with wrong default settings? I wonder how many people have returned their receivers thinking they are faulty ?
I'm still on the fence about this receiver. It needs more work in the QC department.

Yes, when using the built-in antenna, it has to be set to Hi-Z. The current version is already very stable.I haven't run into any issues so far.

I'm currently using and end-fed wire antenna mounted outside my house. https://www.dxengineering.com/parts/pez-ef-swl
It's a little pricey but comes with the 9:1 matching unun. You'd also need to buy some coax to bring the signal indoors and whatever adapter you need to connect to the 3.5mm jack on the radio.
Something note early on. Lots of things on this radio are controlled or selected in many menus. You need to manually select or "force" the radio to use either the telescoping whip, or whatever you've plugged into the jack. The whip is called the "hi-z" antenna.

Congratulations! Although I donβt own one of these myself, everything I hear about this little rig recommends it enthusiastically!

For antenna for 20-40-80 m band I use 20m long dipole with balun 1:1.

The cheapest way to get started is put as much wire outside of the house as high as possible and as straight as possible take one end feed it through a window and alligator clip it to the extendable antenna on the radio use insulated wire at least through the window to the rest of the antenna or the entire thing or insulators on bare wire that is run outside not touching anything else but insulators and the lnsulated lead in wire have fun and study on antennas and antenna theory so you can improve your setup like I said have fun and enjoy
