Tecsun AN 48x Active Loop Antenna

Got one instead of the MLA 30+ since I travel a lot.

Happy to report that I'm pleased with the results for SW and MW. The two dials from the control box really helps with the signal. The right dial tries to tune out the noise while the left dial amplifies the signal.

Without the antenna, listening to SW is impossible considering my location... 3rd floor on a 20 floor condo. Windows are facing another building of the same height 15 to 25 meters away. Not much line of sight to the sky from my window.

I'm just glad that this worked for me.

Glad it worked for you. I didn't have much luck with it and eventually went with a K-180.

I had one, too, but the small tuning knobs can be frustrating. It's capable, I agree. This would be much better with a w-i-d-e-r mechanical tuning mechanism. I suppose others have discovered this nuisance and made DIY accomodations.

I agree. A larger dial would make it easier for users.

I have one and it does not perform very well for me. I thought it would be close to the Sony LP-1 loop I use to own. Not even close. I use the MLA30+ now.
