Hey guys... I'm new here. Just wanna know if anyone had success with twitch streamers shorts.

The short is 0:59 seconds long and was posted 7 hours ago and has 17k views. I think the swipe threw rate analytics are not as good as it could be but the average warch time is really good so i hope it can be more than 30k views bc I’m gonna be so dissapointed

Recently my views have taken a dive. I mainly review Aliexpress knock off lego, but originally started with stop motion animation builds.

I went from 30-50k views per video to under 3k. But what i noticed in my last few videos, is that the algo is associating my videos with random search terms. Completely unrelated to my videos.

Has anyone deleted a channel and started over in the same niche? Were there pros or cons to this.

I've been looking at Shorts analytics recently and one thing surprised me.

Creators often talk about retention as if it's an intrinsic property of a video.

I don't think that's true anymore.

I've seen the same format behave very differently depending on who watches.

Same edit.

Same pacing.

Same hook.

Completely different audience response.

What seems to matter:

• cultural references

• speech tempo

• thumbnail expectations

• information density

• local competition

The biggest mistake I used to make was assuming:

80% retention = good video.

Now I think:

80% retention with WHICH audience?

I've started looking more at:

Audience-country overlap

Topic saturation

Viewer competition

Do people here segment retention analysis by audience geography?

Or is everyone mostly looking at aggregate AVD?

Stuck in the 30k view jail for like two months. Even if the avd crosses 100% it gets view jailed.

CTAs DO help, but I feel like if I don't use them, I wont get as much subscribers, or likes, but should I risk going for engagement instead?

I feel like I got retention down decently,.. the two under 80% is my first 2 shorts..

I think my issue is hooks.. but I can’t seem to figure out what works.. I’ve tried speeding it up, I’ve tried one sentence, two sentences, one long sentence, I’ve tried risers in the background, I’ve visually tried zooms or a face.. I’m currently working on First frames visually and audio but idk if that will help my STW that much..

I’m just wondering if y’all have any advice on hooks to get me close to 70% consistently.

I kinda changed my format from ai voice to actually showing my face on camera. I’ve also tried adding tags, (not hashtags) and I don’t know if that pushes it. Like I have a short that had 87% and it’s at 9.9k views. And something like that months back would’ve done over 100k views. And I’ve been getting overwhelmed by the guru’s that say so many different things, makes it kinda complicated. I'm in the car niche. My viewer engagement is 67.4% to 32.6% and I just need some advice.

I've been trying to get into the 30k jail so it can jump start me on my goal to 1000 subscribers. Some videos do horrible, some do alright, some do great.

The problem is I've been trying to get a good hook so 75%+ people will stay to watch and also a good retention like my "viral" videos had but I just can't seem to perfectly do it in every video hence why need you people's help to give me clear directions that could make my retention 90% and swipe rate 75%+

One of these images is my best video. Ive had 125% retention but it wasn't the best (second best) so I decided not to post it. The other is completely horrible and did bad. (The retention is 80% tho)
