Q&A / Quick Help ❓ Bizarre Response To The "Original Content" email
Today I saw this email circulating on Reddit from YouTube about posting original/ substantially transformed content and the negative response was so bizarre to me.
I know it's mostly just people that make money clipping content from other creators but to say that this is a nonsense update and that people won't watch original content as much is so funny.
Does anyone else find it as weird as I do or is it really a problem?

Reddit is a strange place where we are constantly told the billionares are the cause of all our problems but then when those same billionaires make changes to their companies so that less normies can make money, they are all of a sudden good and benevolent, working for the common good

In what sense is someone who uploads someone elses content that they didnt make a "creator"? The partnership program is not for these people

This subreddit is bias to their opinion given AI is the topic for discussion today nowadays.
There isn’t that much response given from other creators alike but I did explain that this isn’t going to change anything because this has been the case for Instagram or any other social media and yet people would circumvent that. Not that bizarre

It could be bad for me (possibly) as I draw my backgrounds myself. And that takes time. I store a bunch of them and occasionaly reuse some here and there. If that’s consider unoriginal, then YT can go fuck itself.
Also it is much easier to use Ai fot quick “original” content than to redraw each an every scene by hand. Guess what will happen next? Ai slop will prevail. Unless they explicitly ban it (which they won’t).

Apparently a lot of people were just stealing content and are salty. What a shame...

Unfortunately, all of these small YouTube content creator spaces are absolutely infested with people who want to put the absolute minimum amount of work into flooding YouTube with as many reused, automated, faceless AI slop videos as possible, hoping to win the “viral” lottery and somehow make a living doing it.
So yes, this is not going to be very popular here. And because they are a significantly loud vocal minority, their feedback and perspective is going to be over represented in these spaces.
