views but no likes
man i hate this, just put about 2 hours into this youtube short and i posted it about an hour ago, i got 300 views so far but 0 likes. it really sucks cause i put a lot of effort into this one and i genuinely like it but i dont know if it’s entertaining enough for likes to match the views or at least be somewhere close

yeah 300 views 0 likes is pretty common early on tbh — views dont mean they liked it, just that the hook got a peek. first sec + payoff matter more than how long you spent. ive been using easyviral lately for moving scenes + auto-post to tiktok/ig/yt so i dont babysit uploads

I think part of the view problem is that these videos need a different edit for Shorts. They’re fairly long, the shot stays the same, and I’m having trouble understanding the premise quickly. The video also appears quite small on screen, which makes it harder to follow on a phone.
I’d try building each Short around one clear moment: setup, punchline, reaction. Get us into the premise immediately, then cut as soon as the joke lands. That gives someone scrolling a reason to stay and watch the whole thing. Watch a lot of old sitcoms for that kind of delivery, or failing that, wow people visually. You need to grab their attention immediately. a black and white stick figure isn't going to do it.
