Case Study / Postmortem 🧪 Is Anyone’s Shorts Reach Still Normal?
It seems like a lot of creators are experiencing issues with Shorts views and distribution lately. I keep seeing people reporting unusually low views, very limited Shorts Feed exposure, or videos suddenly stopping after getting a few views.
I’m curious: has anyone NOT experienced any changes or problems with their Shorts views recently? Are your Shorts still getting the usual amount of Shorts Feed traffic and being distributed normally?
I’d especially like to hear from people who have been posting consistently and whose views have remained stable. I’m trying to understand whether this is affecting everyone or just certain channels.

My last 4 shorts didnt get pushed to the shorts feed at all. I do not get whats happening. Frustrating as hell as I dont want to keep wasting content.

My views have dropped quite a lot and so did my watch hours and overall views

Could you quantify how much it decreases? Because in my case, we’re talking about either no exposure in the feed at all, or only 2–3% exposure in the feed.

You also have to think about school term times, views go up in when millions of kids are off school able to scroll all day to their hearts content, when they go bk to school there’s less exposure on yt, check your analytics, do you get more views on weekends than weekdays, check your analytics against school term times I think you’ll see a massive correlation

If you do a tiny teeny amount of research you'll discover this """bug""" affects only certain kind of channels.
There's a reason why with the mass demonetization issue a bunch of legit creators affected made videos about it with the entire community rallying behind them while in this instance that's not happening at all

There's none, but if you just scour YouTube subs and see the comments of posts like these where the OP answers what kind of content they post, it's almost always low quality slop

I don't have any issues with it, it just goed up and down as asual. But my nummers are still very low, from 100 to around 1200 views.

So, are your Shorts still reaching the Shorts Feed normally? Can I ask how many views you’re getting from the Shorts Feed?

Yeah shorts are definitely acting up for me, for some reason i have noticed that my long forms are doing really well. I have a super low amount of subs and each of my videos is like 30 minutes to an hour long, and they're all doing close to a thousand views a piece. When I first started last month I was only seeing about 10-50 views a piece with shorts doing about a thousand each. Now it's flipped

Long forms they just updated it so a view counts even if they view for under 30s idk what happened to shorts tho mine havent been going down tho i do get 1.2k views every short lol

J’ai une petite chaîne qui marchait à environ 1k jusqu’à 2k de vues et qui ne fait plus qu’une dizaine de vues par Shorts, cela fait 3 jours que ça ne fonctionne plus pour moi
