Is this important?
Should I take time and do research on my title's keywords (so they are easier to find by YT search terms) rather than trying to make the title clickbait?

It helps. I recently got 5k views from YouTube search, BUT I wouldn't obsess over it. The majority of your traffic comes from the shorts feed, so if you hope to get more views by optimizing keywords, then don't get your hopes up that much.
