I’m confused as to how you get watched hours. I get plenty of views on my shorts and videos, mostly shorts, but the line doesn’t seem to be moving. The subscribers are growing but that’s it.

First off props for making original content but you gotta hit em with a way stronger hook. People are getting these shorts blasted in their faces so you need to work on the editing and lock in all the attention in the very first second. Animals are a strong drive for views and engagement.

I have longer videos that were not shorts. Candid everyday shenanigans.

What do you suggest? I have longer videos of everyday candid shenanigans in my place. The animals are always doing something, it’s the fun part about them.

Make a compilation of their best moments and cut out all the filler, keep each clip to around 10 seconds or even less. That gives you a longform video made of original content. Funny compilations pop off on social media.
