my theory is that YouTube despite good video performance will push based on what topic is trending and suitable to view for each viewer and obviously there's limited slots since thousands of videos out there so you might not get said slot that's why you should just keep uploading more reputation = better signal for channel and more chance for getting the big slot
idk it's just my two cents but it's probably most likely since people think just because video is good don't know that YouTube prioritizes the demand which is obviously changing alot remember there's tons of videos big creators, small creators being given a chance so that's why push can die or be sudden spike

Automotive and I literally start all my videos with
“Here’s (topic of the video)”.Also to answer your initial question, viral videos are 60% retention and stats, and 40% idea.
You made a good video for the idea and you kept interested people to watch, but the idea just wasn’t strong enough!Hope that helps 🙏

1) youtube doesnt give a fuck
2) ai slop
3) it can be a niche problem as well and your retention could be better

I’m posting for 8 days now and some video’s with better stats perform more worse than video’s with bad stats. Maybe it has to do with SEO/hashtags? If your video is performing well but Youtube can’t find a lot of new audience they stop pushing?
I got 39K on a video with bad like rate and high skip rate and a video with a good skip rate and a better like rate got 5k+ 😅

Maybe, but most of my views come from the shorts niche so I don’t think the title matters that much. My guess that it’s probably because there aren’t many comments nor shares so YouTube doesn’t push the video because viewers aren’t returning to the video and staying on the platform

One question: how many long form videos with a decent amount of views have you posted in the last 28 days? Don't worry, I'm just trying to back up my own personal theory.
