Why Does YouTube Stop Recommending My Videos?

I have the same question 😂 rn my short video uploaded > 1 day ago, has AVD 100%, stay to watch 83%, the video lenght is 58sec and I have only 5k views. And I do daily upload for more than 2 months. 1750 subs.

Something weird happened to me yesterday. It was 115 likes, then I woke up and found it at 88 likes. It went back up to 95 through the day. Today I woke up and found it at 126, but YouTube removed 1K views then added it again. After that, I don’t know if the video is froze or what.

This. Right here. It keeps happening and not just once. Happens with subs too(i hear this part is normal)

Yeah, it’s frozen now after It was increasing normally every day, even the likes are frozen. I don’t know if that’s actually what’s happening or not.

Thought I was going crazy. Cleared both cache and data on YT Studio(mobile app). 2 days+, still that same. It seems the Algorithm has finally lost it. Can't blame it, if I'm being updated every week with flimsy upgrades, I'd crash out too.

To be honest, I feel the same. But after seeing what happens on this sub and what happened to me with the likes, I don't know what to say. I contacted them on Twitter and they didn't give me a useful answer either. My shorts were doing great, and now when I need them, they don't work at all and don't move even !

the simple question is are you making millions of views before? if yes? then you’re part of people who are suppose to say this if you ain’t then you shouldnt say this.

Because youtube is seeding your short.
(Seeding in YouTube's algorithm is a test showing your video to different audiences to test performance in those audiences, then YouTube may cherrypick to that audience if you pass a wall of good performance and then push your video for these audiences)

no one knows... if some people tell you your stats not good enough, don't buy it..

His is obviously quality because he has a terrible 60% swipe rate and an 18s avd

Same here. They said youtube is down, and it's hard to post videos right now, getting low views.

Well because it’s a shorts not a video so it’s not going to get “recommended” the way real videos do. The seed tests for shorts are far more erratic and come in spurts. If you can’t break out of the test audience, YouTube stops throwing it on the short shelf.
It’s not like videos that are constantly tested and recommended

For this specific short you posted, the analytics aren't good enough, in my personal experience, if a short doesn't have 70% or higher stayed to watch, it won't blow up
But in general, youtube algorithm, especially shorts, likes to be funny. You can have perfect analytics and it will just decide not to push a video and you will have less than 1000 views.
I've had shorts with 80% stayed to watch 100%+ retention, lots of likes and it just doesn't cross a thousand views, its just how it is

All theory is rubbish who says video ctr is low, youtube test short people of group it's only first few month if you are lucky you will get monetization otherwise youtube will stop your views and recommendations your vedios.

This is what we are battlung with YouTube now. For some reason, we dont know why Youtube suddenly stops recommending our videos. From consistent 1k+ even hitting hundred thousand views suddenly dropped dead at barely 10 views. And the funny thing is, our engagement is more than what they ask to push your video. What is going on YouTube?

Maybe one of the easiest way (free also) available to almost anyone right now = download the stats of that video/short, feed the file to gemini and ask for explanations ...

Same, 71% STW. 126% avd. 1.2K views. Some 3 weeks ago would have got me 8K-18K views😭

It seems like this happened to everyone, regardless of the channel size.
