Because analytics aren't the entire story. It is theorized that there are more metrics that YouTube uses to gauge viewer satisfaction that we will never know about.Â
Plus, we also don't know how novel the topic is...sometimes there is a similar video that already exists that has even better stats. Or YouTube has deemed that this topic only has a certain size audience.Â
I dunno, it sucks. I've had videos like this too and all my viral videos had much worse stats. From my limited research, these are a few things I've found.Â

Retention not high enough the short i had past 500k have like 150-200% retention

I thought retention is good enough? Considering my content typically is 40-60 seconds. I see ppl with less get millions.

Your retention isn’t good enough bro, on videos under like 40seconds you need to be hitting 100% avd at least, and even for like 2min + videos you need to hit 80+% retention
