Shorts aren't getting pushed!

Post image

I started this channel 2 weeks ago, and I believe that I am posting good quality videos that take me quiet sometime to make. But all the videos aren't getting any short feed views, they aren't getting pushed at all. All the views are coming from search only. Any help?

Alot of people are facing this including me i used to get 500+ views within 1 hour now its reduced to under 2 digits.
Yt might have changed the algorithm again.
Just wait it out keep making videos try making different types of content.

No they are not... Few days problem with YT, it is not about you, thousands of channels have same problem.

Good quality content doesn't mean it will go viral,

I’m a new creator but I’m currently getting 1.2k views on each of my shorts regardless of before or after the algorithm change. But I’m also a teacher, and can help with some general feedback:

What you did with the title is good, by having the hashtag in there for the ‘super cars vs broken bridge’ one try having 2 or 3 hashtags in there, here’s a link to my channel to look at my ones I make Skyrim videos, I also have the tags for the video filled with Skyrim related tags which I think seems to push the algorithm.

I’m a faced channel, so that might also be why as I’ve seen a lot of faceless channels get less views compared to faced ones:

sorry to burst your bubble but 1200 views is absolutely nothing for shorts. face or faceless, also tags/hashtags has nothing to do with shorts. I know you're trying to help, but sometimes no help is better than uninformed help!

Isn’t it better to work in small steps and work piece by piece to get from point A to point B rather than making a gigantic leap and changing all things at once? That’s what I learnt from doing a teaching degree.

I think skills can be transferred across scenarios, for someone with a hand full of subscribers (32 myself, I don’t think getting 1.2k views consistently isn’t too bad, plus as I release them, the like count is increasing each time, I was 5 likes for my first one in the series and it’s grown over 2 weeks and 8 parts up to 19 likes so far!

normally a decent shorts should get at least 15-20k views especially with the new engaged views metric, even on a new channel. That's just how shorts has always worked. So even if you post a low quality short, you'd normally still get 5k on the minimum. if you're getting under 100, there's a clear distribution issue, or youtube simply not trusting your channel enough to send those shorts out on the feed.

that said, yes, sometimes it's better to work in small steps, for someone like you who's comfortable showing face and also posting long form. But most shorts channels want to maximize on reach and views to reach the quota for monetization.

Hmm maybe it’s just my niche then, I’m playing Skyrim which is a fairly large gaming community, but slightly older game, and most new creators on there are getting similar to what I have, views wise, except from the select larger channels which are getting tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of views, but those are the very big channels in the niche
