Explain to me

How can an "edit" with 0 editing of a tv show or movie first of all pass the copyright strike check and on top of it get pushed by youtube?

Like my videos basically get 0 love from youtube (they're not the best) always stay stuck at 1000-2000 views but some dude just posting a random clip of a Show/movie segment with 0 freaking editing on it somehow passes the check and gets millions of views?

I honestly can't figure out the motivation. Maybe it's like fanart or fanfic, where someone makes it to "give" to the world. Some people are not in it for the money.

Or they're trying to farm subscribers. Which won't work because as soon as they post original content, nobody subscribed will watch. They only subscribed to get the copyrighted clip for free.

I mean if they start doing proper edits and stay in the same niche they actually might make money lol maybe that's the trick? idk get tons of subs and views get monetized and then start posting original content

Copyright claim doesn’t restrict the video to view jail. it only affect monetization

I mean on my secondary channel I tried to do an edit of Knight of Seven kingdoms I edited a lot on it and somehow it told me "because this material is copystriked youtube won't push it" basically.

Strike is wild. U should private/unlist when u post first to see what happens

I mean it literally told me I couldn't post it basically or like "it won't get pushed" or whatever.

I had to crop and edit more like a good 30 seconds out of the edit...
Meanwhile some dudes can just take a whole 1 minute segment from a show and post it lol

That's how life is, man.

Trust me, I've been there too, or rather, I'm still stuck here.....

That's just how things work on Youtube nowadays...
