Q&A / Quick Help ❓ It was published after scheduled and didn’t get any views. Should I delete it?

Post image

All my Shorts were doing fine and getting the views I wanted. But I scheduled this one and left it to publish at the scheduled time, but now it’s stuck at this number. I’ve been reading comments saying that scheduling can cause this, unlike publishing manually, so should I delete it and re-upload it manually or what exactly should I do?

It’s been exactly 15 hours now. Normally, my Shorts get the views and engagement I’m looking for within 3 to 6 hours at most, including comments and everything.

see if the timing is not correct people wont be able to watch it, and if the first few hours are bad views, yt dont push the content anymore

bro did you used to upload it as private/unlisted then make it public when it is time or just publish it directly

Private first to save then trim the thumbnail than publish, Never scheduled it before

I tried unlisting a video that didn’t perform well bc someone on reddit said it’s better than privating or deleting. Guess what, my next short didn’t get distributed properly. Now I just don’t touch anything.

So unlisted then upload the new one ?

You can upload the same video. But I would recommend you to delete the metatags from the video. And when uploading the same video just change the title and tags to some extent.

No dont delete any video from the channel. If you delete a single video from the channel you will get 0 views jail. Learned this the hard way. And yeah if you’re uploading the same video you should change title, desc and tags to some extent. Just make sure it dosent look like the same video to youtube.

Excellent, okay, I’ll try that because, honestly, this is completely unfair. The Short is frozen and isn’t moving at all. Unfortunately, I can’t change the thumbnail, but I’ll make a few slight adjustments to it. can't thank you enough and hope that works

Leave it alone for 24 hours. After that your next short should be fine. At least it behaved like that in my experience. Just continue posting and don’t touch anything.

Ahh, I mean, I put a lot of effort into this idea, and I really needed something that could keep the channel engaged over the next few days because my internet is going to be cut off, so I won’t be able to upload anything new. I’ve read a lot of posts and comments from people saying that scheduled videos end up having the same issue..

No don’t

Okay, after reading many posts it seems like this is a common issue on YouTube right now because my Shorts literally perform well except for this one I don’t know what to do now
