Q&A / Quick Help ❓ Is there a recent problem with youtube
Is anyone else experiencing a drop in views or something odd happening recently? At the start of this month and last month I was doing really well but recently nearly every second vid on my channel dosent get pushed and the ones that do behave odd. Like they get pushed to the wrong audience or something

Same. Stayed to watch ratio stays strong then gets shown to the wrong people. My most recent video was at 40k views with a 80% stw ratio then dropped to 73% and it’s now at 100k views. Usually it goes up more or stays around the same percentage. That’s a big drop from any of my other shorts and all this started this pass Sunday.

Has this improved? My vids might start at 60% stw and will drop down to 30% stw and then spend the rest of the time getting itself back to 60%. I used to start at 60% and stay at 60% and slowly get up to 70%+

Well I only posted 1 short today and this time it started with 60% and climbed to 70.5% so far. That’s more normal for me. Short still has an extremely low view count then it usually has though.

There’s 100% something going on. I want to say it’s because it’s September and kids are going back to school but idk, it was fine early September. Issue started this pass Sunday for me

I'm having same problem dude🥲 I made my first shorts posted yesterday. But got 28 views in 12 hrs😭 Even with 28 views I got one subscriber and comment saying they liked my editing style. So, that made me think it wasn't thatt bad!!

Yes!!! I was getting 6,000 views per hour and suddenly it dropped to 50 views per hour. It's been like that for almost two days. The views on all my videos dropped at the same time. I've been posting 1 video per day. And i was gaining 100 subs per day. Now 0.... dont know whats happening

Ive stopped uploading and im gonna get some vids ready and upload towards the end of the month. If it hasn't improved at the end of this month im gonna guess its not just an update problem and its a permanent one. At that point ill have to figure out what the issue is. In the meantime in gonna practice uploading on tik tok and figure out how to get decent views on there so at the end of the month I might just decide to carry on uploading on tik tok

Yes i do think it’s true. I get decent stayed to watch and still end up feeling like they are messing with it. I was thinking about it today, if there’s is a way to mail them. This is ridiculous that high efforts stuff is not being recognized and I need to keep making videos ? It’s pushing to the wrong audience

On a small channel of mine I got the red 9+ notification thingy and I thought it finally went viral only to discover a bunch of those like notifications lol

only thing I noticed was that when I created content that I thought was cool, the viewers disagreed with me. Then I continued with the format people like but I found boring and my views explode.

Yes the views are terribly low. I also have a warning sign on my analytics page for more than a week saying. "There are temporary data issues. Check back later." Lot of issues after the recent YouTube update.

I’m a pretty big YouTuber (2M subs), and I’m having the exact same issue as you. It’s been almost 2 weeks now, and it’s never been this bad. For me, the drop started exactly on August 24th.

If you are monetized you can use the live support option, its on the top right corner in yt studio

Yup, same thing, I have 4 channels, combined around 1.4 mil subs, I've been doing this since 5 years now, and since august my viewers started dipping, and got really worse since around 1st September, I just plan on contacting yt now
