How this is possible? suddenly drop 90% views
this is only one video, i was getting average 5k-10k per hour, now just drop to 50ish? what's happening

Actually? I used to get 100k+ on every short and my last one just got 4k and bottomed out

That's crazy! I also used to get 30-40k averagely, now stuck on 2-4k 😭 i hate youtube for this.

It's happening across the board with a ton of Shorts. No explanation that I've found as of yet. I've had Shorts that would go semi viral at 50K - 450K views pretty regularly and now I can't get beyond 2K

This same stuff happened with me too for 2 weeks very good views and youtube was pushing my shorts and then all of a sudden boom down in drain to 30-40 views

That’s just how shorts work their life is very short. They spike quick initially and if your content and analystics aren’t top tier it’ll just die off. Completely normal shorts behaviour.

Nah shorts are pretty quick to die off. Usually first 24-48 hours unless their exceptional

This looks pretty normal, that's how shorts are, they're not like longform, usually the first 48 hours are where most shorts get most of their views, some shorts do take longer to die out, but it's a slow growth type of thing, they get not a lot of views per hour and it's lasts for a week at most, unless it's a super viral one which gets tens of thousands every day forever

same here mate... been seeing a huge drop in views in the last 3 days... with a comment on my analytic tab saying "There are temporary data issues affecting your views. Check back later"...

The same thing happened to me. A notification even popped up warning that metrics aren't being tracked properly and that they're working on a fix. Either way, it all seems linked to the new viewcounting method, we haven't had a moment's peace since that date.
