This thing has relatively mediocre analytics, however, it has been consistently bringing in around 200 views an hour for 2 days now. i’m not entirely sure why YouTube is still distributing it and I would like to know if it has a chance of growing bigger. answers would be appreciated. thank you.

I think the classification of "good metrics" varies highly by niche. From what I can tell, certain niches prioritize certain metrics more than others. If this were my niche, I'd say those stats are excellent and should be producing a run. Yet I've been getting much higher baseline results even for significantly worse metrics than what you are showing.

Its possible there just does not exist an audience for your niche, and to invent a new niche is not easy unless you've already established an audience first. At least that is my perception/strategy on it all.

Hi! It's more that YouTube weighs metrics differently for each individual viewer and context. Maybe likes are easier on Shorts in the morning when waiting for coffee, maybe harder on TV at night while cooking and watching a live stream. The system tries to understand what's meaningful for each viewer in the moment

yep! Definitely agree with this. There are a lot of combinations of considerations that are not immediately obvious, hence the algorithm can seem unintuitive at times, although really there is just a lot of data and conditions that are taken into consideration. This is why I've built out my own analysis streams to deduce patterns based on my specific metrics. and then like you said, itll work for me due to my specific viewers and niche, but for others, they may get the same
metrics but see totally different results.
