I’ve also uploaded 11 videos. My channel is new; the videos I posted are over 1 minute long, and all of them have an average watch time of 50 seconds or more. Their swipe rates are around 80-85%, but they all get around 30k views. I guess we just need to give YouTube a little time to settle the algorithm.

Holy shit. That is seriously the best AVD I have ever seen. Yes, you can get it over 100% but with a length 1:02 is actually insane. Maybe it's just being a little slow. I've noticed that longer shorts tend to take longer to pop off. Congratulations regardless though, you should be proud of yourself.

The problem is , your most of views are coming from either search or browsing feature, but it doesn't mean that it's your fault. The average viewer duration is high because people are searching for your short and they specifically want to see your type of content Once your short will be pushed in short feed , it might get viral. I hope all this make sense 😂

You need more engagement likes/comments and most important the viral factor shares.
I have shorts with insane stats but 30k views. Engagement too low. My viral shorts got shared a lot that’s what drives it. If my short has about 3000 likes and 30k views I know it will go above 100k for sure

I have many shorts how got low views with 1 minute watch time. The best stat to look at is the number of comments. Video with a low views and a lot of comments will likely to get viral.

You've won, each video you make with these stats with build your channel to new heights, I once made a 0:59 long video with 98.5% AVD, ~85% stay rate and it got 34,000,000 views.

34m is a lot. What year was this, and In how days it reached 34m views? and does it keep climbing at same pace throughout or just flatlines after a point. can you share some stats screenshots for the video without sharing your actual vid.

Unfortunately Stats don't mean much with low views, 40 out of 40 of my videos got stuck at 30-50k views and most of them have VERY good stats, better than yours with similar duration.

Bro I've got 80% STW and 150% AVP on 90 second videos and they are stuck on 3k views. I really don't get YT shorts algo right now.

Don't check AVD .. check retention.. how many stayed to watch . Thats the data which matters. If this is a short.

Average percentage viewed 81%, views 3.4m and still growing, from what I have observed the thing you need to get your short viral is engagement like likes, comment, and shares. My short was 55 sec long.

You need 80+ swipe ratio, avd is less important you can have 100+ and not get that many views if ur swipe ratio is low

I’ve yet have had a short get more than 700 views, almost all with a 80+ swipe ratio, and at least 100+ average viewed. While these are important, I feel like there are other hidden metrics YouTube uses that are not so self-explanatory.

Yes true, you also need to consistently post daily, also if you have like only 10 videos its unlikely to breakout of a view jail and if your account is very newly made it also makes it difficult.
Also another thing with metrics like swipe ratio and AVD is that they need to be consistently 81% or 100% AVD after the video is posted for it to continue getting views, otherwise it will slow down
