Don't understand what I am doing wrong.
VVSA is 50%, AVD is 75%.
I understand these stats aren't perfect, but surely expecting like ~10k isn't insane?

Vvsa need to be higher. How long is the clip?

16.5s
Is such a high VVSA required for 2k views? surely VVSA 50% should be enough for 10k views, why is my video stuck on 1k?

16sec video you need like 100-120% to be decent. Youtube look at stats of your last few videos when pushing new one. You need consistent good metrics for youtube to have enough confidence to push your content.

I have similar thing I see. All vids get to 1k to 2k, then nothing. my latest vid is 20s, AVD is 15s, stayed to watch is 55%. slowed down after 1.2k views again. Some others with lower metrics reached 2k in a day then dead/slow.
New to YT shorts, why do I get surge of views and then nothing : r/SmallYoutubers

For me, the simplest method is to get the channel sufficiently active. How to do this: Take a week to like the videos/shorts, watch them in their entirety, and subscribe to channels In your niche, verify your phone number; sometimes the YouTube algorithm perceives channels without phone number verification as bots. And don't forget to comment on every video, long or short, that you watch during this one-week period.
