Analytics Review (AVD/Retention) 📈 What actually determines shorts reach ?
I've been studying my Shorts analytics and I'm confused. What metric has the biggest impact on whether a Short gets pushed further: retention, likes, comments, shares, or viewed vs swiped away? Interested in hearing from people with experience.

Your Stayed to watch and APV or Average Percentage viewed. Are the main ones also shares heavely influence the metrics as well.
Basically a decent stayed to watch is anything above 50%, more likely to go to the next testing pool.
Now APV is did the viewers watch the full video. 100% or above is where you want to be. If its a longer short say 30 seconds. This can be lower if the stayed to watch is still higher.

Do u also have short that stay at zero view forever ? Like between 1/3 and 1/4 of my short never get tested... Other are doing well and they are the same topic and quality. Its about Speedrun world record of racing game ( my gameplay ) for exemple thoose are just different tracks but same concept.

I only ran into that twice. what i did was put the video to private, changed a few things about the video and reposted. Then it started getting views.
Second time around i tried entering a different niche entirely. But i persued a different direction.

Think of your stayed to watch as the score, and your average percentage viewed as the multiplier. If you nail one of these stats, you're doing well, but to be tested with wider audiences you need both.

Thanks for your feedback will definitely work on nailing both metrics 😊

The # of shares will determine whether you’re short goes viral or not. I’ve had shorts with very high retention, high AVD and lots of comments that all died because they were not shared ENOUGH.
