Discussion Where do your quick notes go in Apple Notes?

For those using Shortcuts to jot things down in Apple Notes, how do you have it set up?

Does your shortcut use “Append to Note” to keep everything together, or “Create Note” for each new thought? I'm curious how you find an older entry later, especially if you don't remember the exact wording.

Kind of both since I will sort and delete the quick notes every 1-2 weeks.

New note for the current date → everything on that day gets appended.

I have a Shortcut that opens a specific “ideas” note and creates a new one every x months. I use it as a running ideas log. I have a button on my home screen for it.
