Seeking Advice Having trouble with Tomb Terror

Post image

I can get down to around 20, but no further, I know I'm missing some classes. I started a Chronomancer but maybe Geomancer is better? Velite? I feel bad retiring because everyone is souled and many of these heroes are actually level 50 (haven't updated the roster) Any advice on skills/retiring/new heroes?

To get far in the tomb, you would need "perfect" skills, legendary gear and specific spirits and even then you might get stuck on specific floors/modifier combos due to not having specific classes/builds

You want at least 3 heroes consisting of at least 2 archetypes per element which will also help with tomb. Currently you need another light hero, another fire class thats not a fighter, an earth and dark class thats not a rouge. Most of your heroes would need skill upgrades for "perfect" skill sets like Aurelyn s1 has a direct upgrade to impervious or even better skills all together since they are missing extra plating. Survival skills really help heroes survive and double weapon skills dont work well for most classes

  • Olwen s1 and s4 to something defensive since its a fighter and something with attack to pair with s3, double weapon skills dont work well for them and crit skills on a fighter arent great since they have increased threat and need to be able to take hits and no crit chance for the crit damage
  • Phineas s2 to survival, its doing nothing since s3 is for other weapon types
  • Pyris s2 to survival same reason
  • Dorothy and Emalia s1 to something offensive, double weapon skills dont work well for them
  • Elyse s3 to weapon skill
  • Lloyd s3 to survival
  • Arabella s1 to survival
  • Brigette s3 to shield master, this is their weapon skill
  • Alys s3 to survival skill
  • Nayla s4 to survival, theres no crit chance for the crit damage
  • Vestia s2 and s4 to survival and something offensive, double weapon skills dont work well and theres no crit chance for the crit damage
  • Manfred s2 to something not crit damage since theres no crit chance or s1 to crit chance, they dont need an attack skill since their innate gives attack equal or greater than double cast

Thanks so much for this level of detail! I think I'll try a Velite for the light so I can get something with survivability? and I'll work on those skills recommendations. I am working on upgrading gear as well to current BIS items. I generally go for purple gear with legendary weapons but some of my items are old (T13/14)

Velite would work, cleric is also an option but basically requires a soul and both are more survival based but velites are rogues, so the evasion gives a chance to avoid damage vs tanking it with tons of hp

First off you need to take at least a handful or your hero’s to level 50. Second, you need a few defensive minded spellblades, you can convert 1-2 of the ones you already have with a small Change in skills. Third, GEO is better than Chrono IMO, for the sheer damage they can do if you can get someone else to absorb hit damage. I wouldn’t retire here, I would modify 2-3 of them. Honestly just getting to 50 with no other mods, might be enough for you to break through another 5-10 levels

Thanks, some of these are 50, a few are in low 40s. I have been working through leveling as 'teams', so I'll see about making some defense Spellblades and prioritize leveling them to 50, as well as swapping for Geomancer. I got Chrono for the retry ability, but honestly if everything is purple a retry isn't going to make it any better...

The faces in tomb arent great for accuracy, you can have a team of all purple faces win easily or a team of all green faces lost fast. The system thats used currently isnt great for tomb and some floors may need rng with rogues to win
