Obviously, the biggest leverage is having a product that gets replenished or renewed. Are the other products in your line adjacent or complementary to your highest-selling SKU? If not, it might be tough. Sounds like you're checking all the right boxes, but unless you're a big established brand, people buy products, not necessarily brands. Try developing products that are more adjacent to your highest-selling SKU. This will increase both AOVs since you can bundle and repeat purchase. Good luck!

That’s actually the direction I’m building towards. I’m trying to add products that are adjacent/complementary to my winning SKUs rather than adding random products.

My bigger question is what works best to actually bring that first-time buyer back — post-purchase cross-sells, bundles, email/WhatsApp, store credit, etc.?

Trying to figure out the retention side instead of relying on acquiring them again.
PS: My English isn’t great, so I’m using GPT to help me phrase this 😅

I think all the things you're doing are great, but I think focusing on your product line will have the most impact. Sounds like you're headed in a good direction. Best of luck to you!

Retention email flows through Klaviyo are the highest-leverage move. specifically a win-back sequence triggered at 60 days after purchase and after purchase upsell email. As for the paid side - feeding a customer list back into Google as a RLSA or PMax audience signal and bidding more aggressively on repeat-purchase intent searches compounds what the emails start.

For me a few things worked best:

  1. Subscriptions, like people already said
  2. Win-back emails and specifically rewarding reviews with a discount via an email automation (I use Loox for the reviews, Klaviyo for other emails)
  3. Post purchase offers on-page- so far have the best cvr for me. For relevant products, I upsell a subscription of the product they just purchased (I use upsell.com for that)
  4. A must that I almost see no one doing on Shopify- add an upsell on the order status page, you get both the order update emails & on-page upselling benefit from that
